The deadline will be extended, he said.

The deadline is still July 31 according to notice given by Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, minister of communications and digitalization.

“It will take more time to upgrade the SIM Registration App for diplomat registration, but a Self-Service SIM Registration App is also being developed to make it easier for Ghanaians living overseas to register their SIM cards.

However, Sam George stated that “What she said in Kumasi is simply chatter, it is not factual, and she will extend it” on the Key Points on TV3 on Saturday, July 30.

Sam George added that some people are unable to connect their SIM and Ghana Card. When they try to, they get the message “Invalid input” instead, which is a problem he attributed to system inefficiencies.

Additionally, he claimed that the registration centers’ lengthy lines make it difficult for people to sign up.

Is it not arbitrary that you haven’t dealt with everything and are punishing people for it? Isn’t that arbitrary? He posed the query on Saturday, July 30, on Key Points on TV3.
