
Ghanaian musician Black Sherif has been crowned Chief in Tamale with the title, ‘Nachin Naa’ which translates as the Youth chief.
The chieftaincy title was conferred on the 20 year-old rapper on Monday, October 10, 2022.
The solemn coronation tradition was held in honour of the rapper at the Dakpema Palace.
Black Sherif, born Mohammed Ismail Sharrif voiced his gratitude to the people of Tamale and also vowed his approval.
The new ‘Youth Chief’ of Tamale is currently on a tour in the region as part of promotions for his debut album ‘The Villain I Never Was’ which was released on October 6, 2022.
The rapper’s 14-track album has already topped the charts and received positive feedback from music lovers, coupled with massive endorsements from some big names in the local music industry.
Black Sherif is poised for action as his sound has been co-signed by several industry greats such as Timberland, DJ Khaled, Busta Rhymes, and
Popcaan among others.
