Erik Ten Hag Tells Man Utd: Leave Me Alone!

Ten Hag’s full focus on Ajax

According to ESPN, Manchester United’s top brass have been given strong orders not to disturb new manager Erik ten Hag in the 48 hours leading up to Ajax games.

Ten Hag has been appointed to the position of manager at Old Trafford on a three-year initial contract and has already been engaged in critical decision-making ahead of the next season.

However, since Ajax is still in contention for the Eredivisie crown, United officials have been instructed not to provide any distractions to the 52-year-old in the run-up to games.

As of now, Ajax are four points ahead of their nearest rivals with four games to go. They play PEC Zwolle at home on Saturday and Vitesse at home on May 15 to round up their regular season.

He requested it when negotiating to become United’s head coach. They met in person during the international break, but further interactions were held only when Ajax had free time. A handful of United players have already reached out to Daley Blind, their former colleague at Old Trafford who returned to Ajax in 2018, according to ESPN’s reliable sources.

As a result of Blind’s knowledge of Ten Hag, we know that he has tight rules for players and a preferred strategy. When asked about Ten Hag’s reputation in the Ajax dressing room, reports say that Blind cited his decision to bench top scorer Sebastien Haller in favor of Brian Brobbey before the Dutch Cup final against PSV Eindhoven as evidence.
