A MANIFESTO DELIVERED BY PRINCESS BOATENG SARPOMAA AS
THE NEXT SRC WOMEN’S COMMISIONER ON 1ST AUGUST, 2023
THE PRINCESS MANIFESTO
I developed a vision, too great it was therefore I did not seek for any permission,
driven by that I took a decision, one that has landed me in a competition, although
the journey may look rough because of opposition, I am not focused on that because
I know my mission.
Dear students of Takoradi Technical University, standing on the already established
protocols, kindly accept my warm greetings.
To begin with, I shall first thank God Almighty for how far He has brought me. Then
again I shall like to commend the current SRC Executives for their good work done
so far and ensuring that democracy is observed.
With all humility and pride, do I present myself this moment to read my manifesto
as an eligible and qualified candidate for the prestigious position of the Women’s
Commissioner of the Student’s Representative Council of Takoradi Technical
University.
My name is Princess Boateng Sarpomaa, a student of this noble institution who has
the vision to create a society where women are respected, valued and given equal
opportunities to thrive and shape a brighter future for themselves and the generations
to come. My mission is to promote gender equality, to eliminate discrimination,
provide support and resources to all women on campus through collaboration,
advocacy and education.
The role women play in every society cannot be overlooked and must not be
underestimated. Historically, many societies assigned women primarily to domestic
roles, focused on managing households, raising children and performing tasks that
were deemed appropriate for their gender. However, it is important to acknowledge
that despite significant progress, women are still faced with various challenges. Fully
aware of these challenges and having the passion for women empowerment, I am
driven by my desire to establish an inclusive and empowering environment for all
women on campus, where their rights, voices and needs are recognized and
championed.
Princess Boateng Sarpomaa has the desire to become the next SRC Women’s
Commissioner in other to represent good ideas, to instill in all women extra qualities
and most importantly to implement good policies. My wonderful policies arestructured to cover diverse areas and to help women break barriers. When voted as
the next SRC Women’s Commissioner, my policies would be but not limited to;
1. THE HEALTH OF A WOMAN
Knowing very well the need for every student on campus to be of a sound mind and
in good health, it is imperative that much attention is given to the health of every
student on campus specifically women since its their interest I represent. This is a
policy that would focus on the health of women on campus which includes but not
limited to Physical, Mental, and Emotional well-being.
As a way of ensuring that, my executives and I will organize series of lectures on
health, to educate females on campus on better ways to keep themselves clean in
other not to contract infections or diseases. In addition, we shall bring on board
health specialist like gynecologist for health screening. I shall strongly campaign
against Breast Cancer, Cervical Cancer and other female health related issues.

2. When voted as the next SRC Women’s Commissioner, I shall implement a
policy I have captioned as “THE FORGE”. This is an initiative that would
focus on helping individuals improve and develop their skills in various areas.
This initiative typically offers workshops, training sessions, and resources to
help females on campus to enhance their abilities and reach their full
potentials. This policy will focus on improving language skills, such as
learning a new language or enhancing proficiency in a specific language. It
will cover Entrepreneurship, that is, to provide resources and support for
individuals interested in starting their own businesses or developing
entrepreneurial skills, example soap making, bead making, leatherworks etc.
Last but not least under THE FORGE will be to motivate women in
Technology, the initiative will focus on developing technical skills, such as
coding or programming, networking etc.

3. ENCOURAGE FEMALES TO ASPIRE FOR LEADERSHIP
POSITIONS
Given that I have a passion to empower women in diverse areas, I find it appropriate
that fellow women are encouraged to take up leadership roles on campus and in the
country at large. For this reason, it is essential that a Leadership Club specifically
for women is established on campus to guide and build them for all kind of
leadership roles. We will organize mentorship programs and workshops that will
equip females with the needed leadership skills.

4. The fourth policy on board is termed as “AGENDA 442” This policy targets at doing sanitary pad donations to females on campus taking
into consideration the rising prices of sanitary pads, I shall make it a target to
provide most females with sanitary pads to support them in a way. We shall seek
for sponsorship to assist us get enough sanitary pads to be donated on campus.

5. When you vote for Princess Boateng Sarpomaa, we shall create a platform
that I have captioned as “VOICES UNHEARD”
This is an emotional support platform that would give room to both males and
females on campus who are harassed in diverse forms but are unable to voice out
because of fear, to freely express what is troubling them without fear or
stigmatization. As part of my project, I shall create a website that creates room for
students to communicate easily all issues pertaining to harassment with the
assurance of full confidentiality.

6. Last but not least, we shall organize an entertainment program known as
“JAM WITH THE WOCOM”
As a way of releasing stress and depression, my executives and I would select a
day, subject to approval and organize an entertainment program known as “JAM
WITH THE WOCCOM”. After all, they say all work and no play makes jack a
lazy boy and it will make TTU a dull campus.
Ladies and gentlemen, this and many more can be achieved when you vote
Princess Boateng Sarpomaa as the next SRC Women’s Commissioner.
Dear students of Takoradi Technical University, the vision is big, if we are to
achieve victory then we must come together and build. I plead with you to have
absolute confidence in me because I have good things to offer as a women’s
commissioner.
I am candidate number 2, when you meet me anywhere on campus, show me two
fingers as a sign of support. I believe victory would be ours and I would be glad
to have you all as part of the victory story.
Vote for Princess Boateng Sarpomaa for a results-oriented administration.
Vote for Princess Boateng Sarpomaa because I don’t talk much, I just show
action.
Long live Ghana
